Raw: Fire leaves Metro-East home in disrepair

(KMOV.com) -- Firefighters responded to a blaze that engulfed a quarter of a home in Cahokia, Ill. early Tuesday morning.

The fire started at a home in the 1100 block of St. Stephens around 7:30 a.m.

Crews responded to the scene and had the blaze out by about 8 a.m.

It was unknown if anyone was inside the home when the fire broke out.

The cause of the blaze was not immediately known.
