SOUTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) -- A motorcyclist taking part in the "Ride of the Century" was arrested Friday after he reportedly slipped out while performing a wheelie and collided with a car on Interstate 55.

The man was arrested on I-55 near Reavis Barracks Road around 6:15 p.m.

The car's driver said he was watching several bikers perform stunts on the interstate when one man lost control of his motorcycle and crashed. The driver then collided with the man's motorcycle, causing damage to the car's front bumper.

Officers handcuffed the biker, then placed him in the back of a squad car.

Police have released no official information on the incident.
