(KMOV.com) -- A multi-vehicle accident on westbound Interstate 44 at Interstate 270 caused a major back up Wednesday morning while crews cleared the wreckage.
Authorities said the accident happened around 6 a.m. on Wednesday. Video from Sky Zoom 4 showed a semi-truck and two cars were involved in the accident. An ambulance were called to the scene, but the extent of any injuries is unknown.
Traffic on westbound I-44 was restricted to one lane and the exit ramp from southbound I-270 to I-44 was partially closed. The lanes remained close for over two hours while crews cleared the scene.
All lanes have reopened.
