(KMOV.com) -- With the approval of Proposition P, 3/16 of a cent will be added to sales tax in St. Louis city and County.

While shoppers News 4 spoke with Wednesday said the increases would not deter them, certain special tax districts will have sales tax rates of nearly 10 and a half percent.

The sales tax rate in the City of St. Louis is about eight and a half percent.

Clayton is a little more than eight.

Saint Charles is a little less than seven and a half. Hillsboro in Jefferson County is about seven and three-quarters.
