(KMOV.com) – A suspect was taken to the hospital after a high-speed pursuit started in Franklin County and ended in St. Louis County on Friday.

Police said the chase reportedly began when Missouri Highway Patrol officers spotted a suspected drug car in Franklin County. The driver had outstanding warrants and proceeded to flee patrolmen when they attempted to stop the vehicle.

The suspect fled eastbound on Interstate 44. Franklin County police joined MHP in the pursuit as the driver led authorities on a high-speed chase.

The suspect exited 44 at Highway 109 in Eureka and drove through multiple residential subdivisions. Reportedly the fleeing vehicle had several near accidents before it was stopped in a residential neighborhood. 

The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the hospital in unknown condition.
