Severe weather forces evacuations at Washington, Missouri fair

WASHINGTON, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- People attending the Washington Town and Country Fair were forced to evacuate after severe weather rolled through the area Saturday night.

Lynn Stewart with the Washington Town and Country Fair said more than 10,000 people had to evacuate as a precaution. 

The evacuation happened just a few minutes after REO Speedwagon had taken the stage.

Only one minor injury has been reported.
