(KMOV.com) -- Students at a north St. Louis County school helped pack meals for children around the world.
North County Christian School students packed meals for 10,000 children in third world countries and to help support local food banks as well.
School officials said instead of selling cookie dough, magazines or coupon books, students had donors pay for the meals.
“Part of our mission is teaching our kids to serve. We want them to go out and serve by being the hands and feet of Christ as they go out into the community,” said Superintendent Greg Clark, “This is a way that we can help teach them to do that.”
This is the second year for the service oriented fundraiser.
Each bag the students packed contained rice, soy, dry vegetables, vitamins and minerals.
