(KMOV) – Emergency crews have continued in their efforts to assess the damage following the monstrous tornado that devastated the Oklahoma City suburb on Monday.

Countless homes and buildings lay leveled following the two mile wild tornado that roared through the city of Moore Monday afternoon.  Among those buildings were two schools filled with young children.

The city of Moore is no stranger to devastation.  Monday’s powerful tornado loosely followed the path of a killer twister that slammed the region in May 1999.

News 4 spoke with Sergeant Gary Knight of the Oklahoma City Police, who is all too familiar with Monday’s events that left Moore in ruins.
