(BaseballStL) -- Matt Carpenter's time at second base is no longer considered an experiment. Cardinals manager Mike Matheny expressed further confidence in the 6'3" right-hander on Saturday.
“I think he’s just not somebody that we’re throwing out there as a token,” Matheny said Saturday morning. “He can play the position. He has looked very good.”
