HOUSTON - The 21st annual Cinco de Mayo Parade took place Saturday morning in downtown Houston, and the weather could not have been more perfect for the event.

The parade kicked off at 10 a.m. and ended at about noon at Minute Maid Park. Houston Mayor Annise Parker was there to join in on the fun.

Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican army’s victory over France in 1862, and is celebrated in the Latino community.
