(KMOV.com) – A 16-year-old in Troy will be tried as an adult following a Tuesday ruling by a Lincoln County judge.

Judge Ben Burkemper certified Chance M. Hannick as an adult to stand trial for the sexual assault of two juveniles.

During the March investigation of sexual sodomy case involving a 5-year-old male victim, authorities say Hannick admitted to sexually sodomizing the victim along with other sexual acts.

During the course of the investigation, investigators from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office say they learned Hannick committed statutory rape of a 7-year-old female.  Hannick reportedly later admitted to statutory rape.

Both assaults allegedly occurred in Hannick’s residence in Troy, Missouri.

Hannick is being held at the Lincoln County Jail for multiple counts of child molestation, sexual misconduct, statutory rape and statutory sodomy.  His bond is set for $50,000 cash only.
