(KMOV) – Love’s Travel Stops opened up a new location just off Interstate 70 in north St. Louis on Thursday.

The location off Exit 246A features McDonald’s and Subway restaurants, a gourmet coffee selection, gift merchandise, travel items and more. It will contain 97 parking spaces for professional truck drivers and a Love’s Truck Tire Care center on site.

The business is the first to open in the redeveloped North Riverfront Commerce Corridor and local officials say they are hopeful the store’s opening will spark more business growth in the area.

“We’re happy to bring the ‘Clean Places, Friendly Faces’ Love’s is known for to St. Louis,” said Tom Love, founder and CEO of Love’s Travel Stops. “We look forward to being a part of the community and contributing to the economic growth of the area.”

The opening comes nearly a month after the company held a job fair in downtown St. Louis to fill several open positions.
