Police are searching for a man who allegedly “spiked” the soup container with a foreign substance at a Dierberg’s Market salad bar on Thursday.

The incident happened at the Dierberg’s Market at 421 Lafayette Center.

Witnesses saw the man putting something into the soup and alerted store workers. The employees removed the soup before anyone bought any after the man was spotted doctoring it.

Police released two videos from store surveillance that they say show the man who tampered with the soup.

He was described by police as a white male ranging in age from 50 to 60. He has a heavy build and has a light beard.

Manchester Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying this man. Anyone with information is asked to call the Manchester Police Department at (636) 227-1410 or CrimeStoppers, (314)725-8477.
