EUREKA, Mo. (KMOV) – All lanes of westbound Interstate 44 were closed early Thursday morning after a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle were involved in a wreck in Eureka.
Emergency crews were called to the scene of westbound I-44 just west of the Six Flags exit around 4 a.m. for a report of a jackknifed tractor trailer blocking at least three lanes of traffic.
Fire officials say a passenger vehicle overturned on the interstate in an effort to avoid colliding with the semi.
Two minor injuries were reported in this incident.
The westbound lanes of I-44 were reopened around 6 a.m. after crews cleared the scene.
