ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A man was taken into custody after police say he led them on a chase through northwest St. Louis early Tuesday morning.
Authorities said officers attempted to stop the suspect for an undisclosed reason around 12 a.m. in Maryland Heights. That's when the suspect drove away and a chase ensued.
Officers chased the suspect into University City, where he crashed his vehicle. He then took off on foot.
According to reports, an officer fired a shot at the suspect, but did not hit him.
Officers eventually caught up to the man a short time later and took him into custody.
