Thirty people were injured Monday when an Amtrak passenger train collided with a big rig. The truck, hauling cotton, failed to yield and slammed into the train in Hanford...about 30 miles outside Fresno. Three of the five train cars left the tracks. Emergency crews worked quickly to stop diesel fuel that was spilling from the engine. The injured passengers were taken to hospitals with minor to moderate injuries. The other passengers were taken by bus to board another train.
