(KMOV) Firefighters in the Metro East are investigating after two homes caught fire just doors away from each other early Sunday morning.
Firefighters received the first call about a house fire on Saint Robert in Cahokia around 5am Sunday. Moments later, Cahokia Fire Department received second call about a fire on Saint Thomas.
Investigators report the home on Saint Robert was completely burned out.
Officials say that both homes were vacant at the time of the fire.
The investigation is ongoing.
