Smoke from this wildfire in California is leaving a gray haze over parts of Riverside County, about 100 miles southeast of Los Angeles.

Cal Fire says the blaze, dubbed the Buck Fire, has burned at least three-thousand acres.

Hundreds of firefighters are working to get a handle on the fire, but dry weather conditions aren't helping the cause.

Meteorologists expect dry heat will last into next week... and warn that pop-up thunderstorms may do more harm than good, since lightning strikes could spark more flames.

The U.S. Forest Service says dozens of fires are burning across the western United States right now.
