Raw: 5 injured after car collides with Metro bus in south St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- Fire and emergency crews responded to an accident involving a Metro bus and passenger vehicle in south St. Louis on Friday afternoon.

The accident happened near the intersection of South Grand and Arsenal around 3:30 p.m.

The car was flipped upside down in the collision, but the driver was able to escape. The driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Four passengers on the Metro bus were also hospitalized, but officials say their injuries are not considered serious.

Authorities have not said what caused the accident.
