St. Louis, Mo. (KMOV) – St. Louis police are looking for a suspect after a double shooting on July 4th killed one brother and left his twin seriously injured.

The men, 29 years old, were shot in the 4700 block of Hammett Place around 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Witnesses reported there was a disturbance then gunshots.

Edward Cohee of O’Fallon, Missouri died. His brother remains in the hospital - days later.

Cerise Cohee, the victims’ sister, says the brothers were on Hammett Place for haircuts Friday night and she is asking anyone with information about the killer to come forward.

“We want to know. We want to find the person. We want justice. It’s a painful situation,” said Cohee.

The surviving brother, Cohee added, has given police as much information as he can about the suspect in this case.

“It’ll never bring back Edward, but just to know that person is no longer able to commit a crime [against] anyone else,” she added.

Wednesday, police said the investigation was ongoing and charges have not been filed.

Cohee says her brother leaves behind a young daughter.

Family and friends are holding a fundraiser for Edward Cohee’s daughter and to cover burial expenses on Wednesday, July 9th. Cohee says it will be held at St. Louis Happy Hour Bar and Grill at 12948 New Halls Ferry Road from 7 p.m. to midnight. For more information on the Edward Cohee Trust, click here.
