Teen runs to downtown MetroLink station after being shot twice

ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Police are investigating a downtown St. Louis shooting Tuesday night, that left a teen critically injured.

According to officers, a black male, 19, was involved in a shooting near the intersection of Spruce and 14th streets. He was struck in the lower left abdomen and left palm.

The Metro Security chief says the victim made his way to the Civic Center MetroLink station to find help.

Police arrived and transported the victim to an area hospital. He was in critical condition, though is alive at this point.

Because of the severity of his injuries, homicide detectives have been called to investigate. Police say the suspect is also a black male in his late teens.

No other information into this incident has been released at this time.
