(KMOV) – Illinois State Police are investigating a reported shooting after a victim said he was shot while driving across Missouri into Illinois Tuesday afternoon.
The 35-year-old male victim drove himself to the hospital after he said he was shot while driving across the Poplar Street Bridge into Illinois around 1:30 p.m.
Authorities say he was exiting toward East St. Louis when he told police another car pulled up next to him and someone opened fire.
He was able to drive himself to a St. Louis hospital with non-life threatening injuries to his leg.
The victim described the second vehicle as being a small, white car. Further details into possible suspects were not immediately known.
The investigation is ongoing.
