Passengers on board flight to St. Louis react to emergency landing

DALLAS (KMOV) – American Airlines flight 1862 from Dallas to St. Louis was forced to make an emergency landing due to landing gear problems Tuesday morning.

Passengers said the plane turned around about 10 minutes into the flight and the passengers had to brace for a crash landing as the plane touched down at DFW Airport.

News 4's Russell Kinsaul went to Lambert Airport to talk to the passengers about their experience after the plane got to its destination.

One passenger said everyone on the plane cheered and clapped when the plane made a safe landing back at DFW.

On Monday, an American Airlines flight from Chicago to Dallas had to make an emergency landing at Lambert because a crewmember had a heart attack.
