(KMOV) –Police are actively searching for a man wanted in connection to the fatal double shooting in Northwoods on Monday.
John Trevillion, 30, has prior drug convictions along with a second-degree murder conviction on his rap sheet. Police now think he is involved in a shooting which left one man injured and a 25-year-old man dead.
The family of the latest victim wanted to know why this convicted killer was not kept on a tighter leash.
Everybody have a story of lil Brian so we just talk about him and try to keep him alive,” said Brian Jordan’s mother, Twanda Watson.
Watson, who is now left with Jordan’s two-year-old daughter, said she wants the man responsible for killing her son, Brian to come forward.
“I’m mad but I'm not angry to where I want the worst for him I want him to be caught I want him to turn himself in,” said Watson.
Skyzoom 4 was over the scene as police worked to investigate the scene where Jordan’s body was found. Detectives believe Trevillion is the man responsible for the shooting death.
He was sentenced to 13 years in prison following a 1998 murder conviction.
“We have a homicide suspect at large suspected of the double shooting last night and he does have a criminal past and is considered by us to be armed and dangerous,” said Officer Brian Schellman with the St. Louis County Police Department.
“Getting out is one thing don't get me wrong but no PO no attachment nobody tracking you you're just free,” said Watson.
St. Louis City Courts handled Trevillion’s 1998 case but News 4 was uable to confirm what kind, if any, monitoring he was under. The courts were closed Tuesday due to inclement weather.
It is unknown what sentence Trevillion was given and served for the murder conviction.
Trevillion is still at large and wanted for the fatal shooting in Northwoods.
