(KMOV.com) -- City officials and local volunteers broke ground Saturday on a new universally accessible playground at the O’Fallon YMCA in St. Louis.

The St. Louis Office for Developmental Disability Resources and the city of St. Louis said they partnered with company Unlimited Play to create the new playground.

The new playground cost around $600,000 all at no cost to tax payers. The majority of funds were raised through philanthropic efforts by the local community and businesses.
