Man struck crossing I-70 in St. Charles County

(KMOV) – Police were investigating after a man was struck by a vehicle in St. Charles County on Monday.

Witnesses told police the victim was attempting to cross Interstate 70 around 9:30 a.m. when he was struck in the eastbound lanes. 

He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Two women were spotted inside a vehicle with a smashed out passenger-side window about a half-mile from the initial scene. Police told News 4 the driver of the vehicle was not at fault.

All but one eastbound lane of I-70 were closed between Lake St. Louis Blvd. and Bryan Rd. while crews worked to clear the scene.
