(KMOV) – A man says he was forced to strip down naked in public after falsely being accused of shoplifting.

The man was with his wife at a Houston, Texas, beauty supply store when he says the manager claimed he took a $3 pair of earrings.

He says the manager then ordered him to strip down and be searched. The man complied to prove he was not a thief.

Police eventually reviewed the surveillance video and cleared the man of any wrongdoing.

The victim wants an apology from the owner, but says he still has not gotten one.
