(KMOV.com) -- St. Louis County Police are investigating after officers shot a man to death in Florissant Sunday morning.

Florissant Police said they were called out to a house in the first block of Regina for a domestic dispute around 9:15 a.m.

According to authorities, a woman who lived there told the officers where they could find the suspect.

Florissant Police went to the location in the 10000 block of Winkler and saw the man pulling into the driveway of a home. That's when they fired gunshots, striking him an unknown number of times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police did not say why the officers opened fire. St. Louis County Police are handling the investigation.

Police said the man shot worked as a taxi driver for Laclede Cab. No other information on the suspect was released.
