(KMOV.com) – Desoto residents, many still recovering from April’s flood, are nervously watching the water levels through Friday’s rain
Emergency crews are on standby, and boats are fueled and waiting as streams and creeks are on the rise in Jefferson County.
Much of the debris from the April 18 flooding is still sitting in piles on the streets outside flooded area homes.
With creek waters quickly rising back yards, many residents are fearful their homes can’t withstand any more water.
In Arnold, fire crews have the rescue equipment ready, including a one-of-a-kind boat that can reach anywhere in the county.
All eyes remain on the waterways going into Friday night, as the low pressure system moving through the area continues to dump precipitation.
