Springfield, IL (KMOV.com) -- State Comptroller Judy Baar Topinka says the state is running out of money for multiple services.
In a statement today the comptroller says the state needs about $1 billion to subsidize child welfare, workers compensation and senior services for the rest of the fiscal year that ends in June.
The comptroller wants to transfer money from financially sound programs to make up for the shortfall.
