WENTZVILLE, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- A student within the Wentzville School District could face charges after officials say he brought an airsoft gun to school Monday.

Officials with Holt High School say two students reported seeing a gun on campus on Monday. Those students notified school officials and said they could not tell if the gun was real.

Although two students saw the gun, the student in possession of it never intentionally showed any other students.

The student was removed from campus by police. No formal charges have been issued at this time.
