(KMOV) – Police are investigating the death of an 8-year-old Franklin County boy who died after collapsing on the school bus Monday afternoon.

Deputies say Bradley Voss, a student at Strain Japan School, collapsed when the bus was traveling on Strothkamp Lane outside Sullivan around 3:45 p.m.

The bus driver performed CPR on Voss until EMS personnel arrived. The boy was then taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to deputies, Voss reported a headache to his mother before leaving for school in the morning and he was given Tylenol or aspirin.

School officials told authorities there were no indications of illness throughout the day before he collapsed.

An autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday morning to determine the boy’s cause of death. No foul play is suspected.
