(KMOV.com) -- A viewer contacted News 4 after finding his sisters picture on a Craigslist ad connected to a phone number from Fontbonne University.

Justin Robinson said a relative stumbled across three personal ads on Craigslist St. Louis in the women seeking women section. The ad used a photo of his sister who lives in Florida.

Robinson said he sent a text message to one of the phone numbers in the ad and was very quickly asked to meet up at Fontbonne University.

“After I confirmed he wanted to meet up, that’s when I called,” Robinson said, “I was at work so I couldn’t talk too long. I called to see if anyone answered and a man did answer.”

Robinson said he then searched the cell phone number online and found it on a Fontbonne University website. He said the number belonged to someone he went to high school with. He believes the person was able to access his sister’s picture through Facebook.

“I think you’re just a lowlife. You don’t really understand what that could do to somebody’s reputation,” said Robinson, “I was kind of floored by it. You always hear about these kinds of things, but you never think it’s going to happen to you.”

The Better Business Bureau said this apparent scheme is very concerning.

“It would be a legitimate concern,” said Chris Thetford with the BBB, “When dealing with Cragslist, always assume there could be the potential for danger and that’s why we suggest people go to a public place.”

It is unclear what would have happened if a meeting took place, but Robinson believes it wouldn’t have been good.

“I can only speculate what he may have done,” Robinson said, “if a female had shown up at the Fontbonne campus.”
