Smoke seen for miles after 4-alarm blaze breaks out near downtown St. Louis

(KMOV) – Fire crews responded to a four-alarm blaze just south of downtown St. Louis Monday morning.

Billowing smoke could be seen for miles after the fire broke out at the three-story Servco brick warehouse near the intersection of Second St. and Cedar around 11:30 a.m.

According to the St. Louis Fire Department, all occupants were believed to have evacauted the building. No injuries were reported.

Officials say more than 80 firefighters were working to put out the blaze.

The cause of the fire was unknown.

The Servco building is used as a furniture store warehouse.
