(KMOV) – A man with an outstanding felony warrant was arrested after he was allegedly caught damaging a bench outside a Madison County restaurant early Monday morning.
Christopher Smith, 26, was charged criminal damage to property.
According to deputies, officers responded to a report of property being damaged at a restaurant in the 130 block of W. MacArthur Dr. in Cottage Hills around 4:25 a.m.
Upon their arrival, deputies found Smith damaging a bench outside the business. He was arrested at the scene.
Deputies said a check showed Smith had a felony warrant for a previous possession of marijuana arrest.
He remains in the Madison County Jail on a $2,600 cash-only bond.
