A man was reportedly being taunted by a crowd of people and attempted to run them over with a car Wednesday afternoon in southeast Houston following a fatal shooting.

The incident happened in the 6000 block of Belarbor.

According to police, 20-year-old Demarcus Harrison was shot and killed by a man he had an ongoing dispute with outside the apartment complex.

Paul Callis, the victim's grandfather was distraught.

"He didn't deserve that," said Callis.

Tensions between both families escalated as the father of the shooting suspect was being taunted by the crowd. Police were already on the scene.

The suspect's father drove recklessly through a crowd of more than 20 people in a silver car. He jumped out the car with it still running and was tackled by police and taken to jail.

No one was hurt.
