A wedge tornado rolled through northern Mississippi on Monday, ripping down trees and power lines and damaging homes around Tupelo. And it was all caught on video.
Authorities said there were no immediate reports of injuries, but damage was reported in several neighborhoods north of Tupelo, spreading emergency workers across the area to aid in recovery.
Weather forecasters say the tornado was the result of a severe storm front moving across the state. Dozens of tornadoes were confirmed in Alabama and Mississippi, one of them reportedly as wide as a mile.
