St. Louis (KMOV.com) -- Two motorists are dealing with seriously damaged cars following an accident Thursday afternoon in downtown St. Louis.

The accident happened just after 3 p.m. at the intersection of Walnut Street and Memorial Drive, just across from the Old St. Louis Cathedral.

A camera was rolling as a white car on Walnut Street appeared to cross into the path of a dark colored car heading south on Memorial.

The video shows the strong impact of the accident. The crash sent the dark colored car swerving into a nearby guardrail.

There did not appear to be any serious injuries as a result of the collision.

Emergency crews arrived and had the scene cleared a short time later.
