ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- The Board of Aldermen honored an attorney on Friday who has helped make St. Louis a safer place.

Don Tyson, an attorney at the Circuit Attorney's office, has tried more than 200 felony cases in front of a jury.

"St. Louis is not a dangerous place for most people," Tyson said. "It depends a lot on your lifestyle. For people who have lifestyle that involve drugs and gangs and guns, it is certainly very dangerous. My job is to try and make it a little bit safer, and to try and eliminate some of that."
