(KMOV.com) -- Ballwin Police report nearly 20 car break-ins have happened in less than a week.

Police said the thieves aren’t just looking for unlocked vehicles, but are also breaking out windows to get items such as wallets, ammunition and electronics.

Many of the break-ins have happened off Twigwood Drive.

Police do not have any suspects at this time, but are urging residents to store valuables inside their homes not in vehicles.
