(KMOV.com) -- Many eyebrows were raised in the News 4 newsroom when some of our staff saw the most recent viral videos circulating on YouTube.
The video is of a 6-year-old rapper named Albert singing his song "Booty Pop."
The appropriateness of the song title been called into question along with the half-naked women that can be seen dancing around the young rapper.
Jessica Luitjohan, a child psychologist at Cardinal Glennon, says she couldn't believe her eyes when she saw the video.
"We're seeing 10 year olds pregnant and six year olds with eating disorders," she said. "Those things dont come from natural instincts. Those come from messages they're learing in the world."
Messages exactly like this one, she said. "I mean there's no way these thoughts and phrases came from a six year old's mind," she added.
The video ends with the boy walking into a house holding hands with one of the women, leaving an unsettling impression.
Parents who have seen the video say the internet opens a door to things like this all too often.
"Yeah I think it's sick, I'd never let my kid do it," said parent Mike Green. "The internet's caused a lot of things like this to happen."
Luitjohan says things like this could have long-term effects on how the boy views women.
"How he would see mom, sister, teacher; that could affect how he functions in the world," she said.
YouTube allows you to "Like" or "Dislike" a video and the overwhelming response on the video so far has been negative.
