Caught on tape: Car slams into dump truck in downtown St. Louis

(KMOV.com) – A camera was rolling as an accident near the Gateway Arch caused traffic trouble Thursday afternoon.

A National Park Ranger told News 4 the accident occurred just before 3:15 p.m. A park ranger responded to the call because it occurred near the Arch grounds which are a national park.

Video of the accident showed a car was traveling southbound on Memorial Drive when it hit a dump truck that was driving eastbound through the intersection of Memorial and Walnut. The front of the car suffered damage.

Injuries are currently unknown.
