The 10th Annual Soulard Oktoberfest is being held this weekend, and 40,000 to 50,000 people are expected to be in attendance.

The event will be held on 3rd St. and Lafayette, just two blocks east of Soulard Market. It will take place Friday from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Listed by the Associated Press, AOL, CNBC as America’s third biggest Oktoberfest, the annual festival has steadily grown since its debut in 2004.

“Now we have people from all over, especially the Midwest and St. Louis. We have a great following among the younger party crowd,” said Soulard Oktoberfest Founder John McKinstry.

Of course, the festival will feature a multitude of bands and beer in the German tradition.

“We do our very best to duplicate the German Oktoberfest in St. Louis,” McKinstry said. “If you’re looking for a German experience, not just a rock fest, then the Soulard Oktoberfest is the place to be.”

General admission is $10 for Friday and Saturday. Sunday is free.
