GILBERT, Ariz. (AP) — Firefighters and hazmat crews are cleaning up following a fire and acid spill at a biodiesel plant in Gilbert.

A spokesman for the Gilbert Fire Department tells KNXV television station (http://bit.ly/1eZQarc) that a fork lift operator punctured an acid tank at the plant Saturday morning. That ignited the fire.

The building's sprinkler system put out the flames, and crews were called in to help clean up the mess.

Authorities say the public was not in any danger and no injuries were reported.
