(KMOV.com) -- A vehicle came to rest upside down in a drainage ditch Thursday morning along Interstate 270 after the driver lost control and left the roadway.
The accident happened around 6:40 a.m. on I-270, just north of Tesson Ferry in Concord, Missouri in south St. Louis County. First responders rescued the driver from the wreckage. When Sky Zoom 4 arrived on the scene the driver was out of the vehicle and walking around.
The overturned vehicle was off the interstate, but emergency vehicles occupied the two, far right lanes causing some traffic congestion. Traffic in the area was backed up to Interstate 55 while crews worked to clear the wreckage.
The driver was later transported to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
