PACIFIC, Mo. (KMOV) -- All westbound lanes were closed on a section of Interstate 44 after multiple tractor trailers wrecked in Pacific Wednesday morning.
According to MoDOT officials, three trucks collided just past the Pacific exit around 5:30 a.m. Officials said a truck that overturned during the wreck scattered debris all over the interstate, forcing authorities to close all westbound lanes in the area.
Authorities said nobody was seriously injured in the crash. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene, but did not transport anyone to the hospital.
One lane of traffic opened back up around 11:30 a.m. Two right lanes remained closed as some debris remained scattered along the interstate. Authorities said they hopeed to have those lanes open again early Wednesday afternoon.
MoDOT recommended anyone who planned to travel on westbound I-44 in Pacific to take the Six Flags exit or Route 109 as a detour.
