(KMOV) – Two people have been charged in connection to the bank robbery in Affton, Missouri on Friday.

According to police, Javion Marshall, 18, and Shannon Bolden, 26, of Decatur Georgia have each been charged with 1st Degree Robbery and Armed Criminal Action.

On Friday, officers responded to a call of a bank robbery at the Citizen's National Bank in the 9000 block of MacKenzie Road just before 10 a.m.  Police said Marshall walked into the bank, displayed a handgun and demanded money.

Marshall obtained an undisclosed amount of money and exited the bank and got into a white, 4-door sedan with Georgia state license plates driven by Bolden.  Officials believe a dye pack activated inside the suspects’ vehicle.

Police later found the money along I-55 near Loughborough Avenue in south St. Louis city.  Officers had to shut down the northbound lanes in that area until they recovered all the money.

Marshall and Bolden are being held on a $100,000 cash only bond
