The Missouri Department of Transportation says crews are working 12-hour days to repaint yellow and white stripes on every major road statewide.
MoDOT says it wants to finish the repainting before Memorial Day.
Striping trains are groups of trucks moving at about 8 to 12 miles per hour, which means vehicles behind them have to slow down.
MoDOT says drivers on four-lane highways can pull around the striping trains by carefully merging into an open lane. Drivers on two-lane highways should stay behind the last truck in the train so that they don't end up driving through wet paint.
