(KMOV) -- The driver of a vehicle on westbound Interstate 64 was killed after he suffered a medical condition and crashed.
Around 8:48 p.m. on Tuesday, police said Daniel Rich, 69, of Lake St. Louis, was driving with passenger Sharon Rich, 64, of Lake St. Louis, when he lost control of his car after suffering what is being called a medical condition.
According to reports, Rich accelerated the vehicle as the passenger attempted to steer. The car traveled off the road and through the cable median. The vehicle then veered to the right and went back through the cable median and came to rest straddling the cables.
The passenger of the vehicle suffered minor injuries. Investigators are now trying to determine if Daniel Rich died from the medical condition or injuries in the crash.
