(KMOV)--The Illinois Department of Transportation announced the Interstate 270 Chain of Rocks Mississippi River Bridge will have lane restrictions due to road work on Thursday.
The I-270 westbound right lane will be closed from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Crews will be working to patch the bridge deck.
IDOT anticipates this work to be completed on Thursday.
Traffic control devices will be used to assist motorists through the work zone.
IDOT asks that travelers be patient and use extra caution near and throughout the work area.
